#359 Badger Valley, ONP

These are both ink pencil/ sumi ink on masa.  I carefully painted the bottom one, and then decided to try something more spontaneous, which is the top image.

#355 Black & White Visions

This started out as a sumi ink painting on masa paper.  Then I glazed it with acrylic medium and added some acrylic paint.  I like the way the ink works on the masa paper, and with Inktense pencils, it looks a bit like an etching.   There may be a few more black and white images coming up...

Door Ideas

This is not exactly art- more like home decorating... I've been considering painting some interior doors and it seems like masking and rolling interior paint would work better than using a brush.  If a person used flat doors, in a certain size, a person could possibly design it on the computer and then paint from the design.  So here are a couple of double and single door ideas:

#347 Olives, Anyone?

I'm going to be showing some acrylic still lifes at the Northwind Artists Showcase in Port Townsend, and decided to make something larger than 6" x 6, to go with the smaller works.  This is 16" x 12".

Had it been a real person, it could have been a digital portrait.

#342 Red Flowers/ Green Vase

I think it is more difficult to do a still life than a landscape with a painting knife.  Maybe I just need more practice!  Oil, 5" x 5".
