#410
I did a watercolor plein air at Arroyo Hondo preserve in Santa Barbara, but it was too overworked. After two more attempts at home, I just took some buff colored printmaking paper and dashed out a quick version. It's my favorite.

#408 Winter on the River
It was difficult to get the colors to reproduce right on this image, but this is close. It's another painting done after the Eric Jacobsen workshop, in which I'm trying to use MORE paint!

#407 Gig Harbor
I took a plein air workshop last week in Gig Harbor, from Eric Jacobsen. He encouraged me to use more paint in my oil paintings... so I tried repainting a painting done in the workshop. The workshop version is below... I like the colors better in the one done on site, but I can see the improvement in the paint application. Both are small, on canvas.

#406 October at Kah Tai
This quick little oil sketch was done at Kah Tai Lagoon in Port Townsend yesterday, with some of the Weather-or-Not painters painting nearby. It was a cold but clear morning, and the colors were beautiful. I got there late, but after the temperature rose to the 40's... 8" x 10".

#405 Jimmy-Come-Lately
This little 6"x6" acrylic painting is based on a plein air I did in the Jimmy-Come-Lately valley, looking south towards the Buckhorn Wilderness of Olympic National Forest.
