Fort Flagler

A soft overcast day at Fort Flagler.  Eventually the sun came out when we were about finished - not so bright as to blind us and send us stumbling around with outstretched arms and stepping on tubes of, say, cadmium red - but definitely squinty bright.

John Wayne Marina Breakwater

Here's a little 6"x8" oil I did last Monday.  A few of the plein air painting crowd went to the marina, while the die-hards went up to Dungeness Forks.  It was misty and rainy up there, but you can see it was nice at the beach!
